Introduction

What do you think of when you hear the word murder? Most people probably don't think of a perfect opportunity to write a book. But Truman Capote did. When he first heard of the Clutter murder in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas he was immediately drawn to it. He titled the book In Cold Blood and it was an instant success. In Cold Blood was groundbreaking in many ways; it was the first "nonfiction novel", he took time to get the story from all different perspectives, and he memorized all his research. This website is created for anyone who wants to know about the great author that is Truman Capote.
